This camp is for children who really love horses and whose strong desire is to learn to understand and enjoy horsemanship. It is our goal to teach each child to become a safe and confident rider. Each student will obtain knowledge about the basic care for a horse. They will learn horse lingo ( Such as halter; bridle; and girth). When the students leave camp they will know how to groom, handle, saddle, and ride a horse. They will also learn the different markings on a horse, what they are called, the names of different colors and breeds of horses and the difference between Western saddles and English saddles.
Each student will be given a booklet, that they will use at camp, witch teaches them the different parts of the horse; care of a horse; how to tell a horses age; parts of the hoof; and much more. We will be doing arts and crafts, games, and a BBQ! Each student will be given a certificate upon completion.
Camp is from 9:00 am to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday. Each student needs to bring snacks and a lunch. They also need to bring lots of water due to the heat, soda is fine for lunch but water is better. I highly recommend that you bring a bottle of sunscreen. The weather will be hot and we will be out in the sun most of the day.
Classes are limited to ten students at a time. The cost is $195.00 for the first student and $180.00 for the second student of the same family. Payments should be made before the first day of camp. Call to make reservations; we are planning to have lots of fun. Hope to see you there.
